Vortex and matte painting work for FIFA 19
Project Details
A TV advert for EA Sports' FIFA 19, directed by Brthr through Riff Raff for Adam&eveDDB, with post at Electric Theatre Collective. I built two vortex transition sequences, one moving from Neymar's car into gameplay, the other travelling through Mbappé's eye, each a mix of 3D and 2D. I also animated the Ronaldo and Pengest Munch crossover section, and worked on matte painting across the spot, cleaning up and elevating the backgrounds, adding greenery and tidying surfaces for a more premium finish.

The vortices did the cutting. Each one carried the advert between worlds, from Neymar's car into gameplay, and through Mbappé's eye, turning the jump from real life into the game into a single travelling move instead of a hard edit.
