Forumla 1

A title sequence for Formula 1, reflecting the sport entering a new era.
Project Details
A new Formula 1 season brought a significant shift in regulations, engineering and the competitive order, and the title sequence needed to reflect a sport entering a new era while holding onto its authority and scale. I was brought on by Coffee & TV, working alongside Sky Creative and director's studio Bigfoot, with the brief to make a brand new sequence.
I led the look and development for the digital car and driver reveals in the opening section, building them through dense layers of fine technical detail and engineering data, defining material response and carrying the shots through to final composite.

Concept
The visual language draws from engineering systems and data-driven environments, positioning the sport as advanced and future-facing. Focusing on construction, the car is revealed through layered digital assembly, reinforcing precision, performance and technical evolution. The idea was to show the car through a digital and analytical lens, the way an engineer might see it.
The sequence ran before every race across the season, and was rebuilt year over year to reflect the latest car updates and driver standings.

Development & Early Works
Experimenting with many different ways of revealing the car and drivers during the making of the formula 1 titles.
One of the challenges we faced was finding a balance of clarity and detail, maintaining a sense of being technical and intricate without over-complicating and losing definition to support readability as many of the shots are fast paced.
