An Apple Music spot for Rag'n'Bone Man, turning his tattoo-inspired artwork into dimensional 3D.
Project Details
Apple Music commissioned this thirty-second broadcast and digital spot for Rag'n'Bone Man, built around the release of his album. Directed by Myoshka and Pauline Kerleroux with Media Arts Lab, it was made at Electric Theatre Collective, where George Dyson brought me onto the project.
The concept translated tattoo-inspired illustration into dimensional form. The work was in keeping the hand-drawn character of the artwork intact while building it in 3D, getting the line work, shading and surface treatments to hold up convincingly. I worked across the 3D development, lighting and compositing alongside George Dyson, with Maryam Anibaba producing.
